Judith Eaton
is an accomplished painter presently creating works
in water media. She has been exhibiting her works professionally
for the past 17 years. In addition to painting, she
is a high school literature teacher. The combination
of both careers greatly enhances each other as making
art with words and making art with paint have a great
deal in common-structure, variety and repetition, texture,
style, and content.
Among her prized accomplishments Eaton notes being
presented the first Founders Award by the Watercolor
Society of Indiana; winning a Lily Teacher Creativity
Award which allowed her to study the petroglyphs and
pictographs in New Mexico; granted a contract by North
Light Books to write and illustrate a watercolor instruction
book Flowers and Foliage; and teaching Watercolor
Seminars for Masters Degree students at Miami
University.
