2002 Featured Artist: Judith Eaton

Judith Eaton is an accomplished painter presently creating works in water media. She has been exhibiting her works professionally for the past 17 years. In addition to painting, she is a high school literature teacher. The combination of both careers greatly enhances each other as making art with words and making art with paint have a great deal in common-structure, variety and repetition, texture, style, and content.

Among her prized accomplishments Eaton notes being presented the first Founders Award by the Watercolor Society of Indiana; winning a Lily Teacher Creativity Award which allowed her to study the petroglyphs and pictographs in New Mexico; granted a contract by North Light Books to write and illustrate a watercolor instruction book Flowers and Foliage; and teaching Watercolor Seminars for Master’s Degree students at Miami University.
